* Morning after pill for Christmas?

Posted on November 30th, 2008 by MJA. Filed under Current events, Reasoned Rant.

One wonders,  how much more tasteless our culture can become?

In England women are warned that “Santa comes once a year, but that’s all it takes.” And so?  Why, of course–just be sure that your stocking is stocked with the monring -after pill because, well, you know, the chemist shops will all be closed ror the holiday.

The irony is heavy—Christmas  is the story of the Divine Child coming into this world in the direst of circumstances, yet He was welcomed. This news story is about the inconvenience of a child conceived on Christmas. WHAT then, is Christmas about for the post post modern West?  We have stood Christmas upside down.
